This week all the families in my ward have been given a challange...to express grattitude daily. My family decided to kick this off with a wonderful lesson on gratitude by me. In this lesson I read a story about a customer asked a gas station worker what the grand canyon is like and the worker who lives two hours away from it says "Idk, even though it's so close I've never been..." Then the customer goes on to tell the worker that even though he lives in manhattan he's never been to the statue of liberty. "I've been there" the worker said. In the story he goes on and points out that we travel many miles to see the wonders of the world but ignore the beauty in our own back yard. We should be greatful for the wonderful blessings and tremendous opportunities we're given. This week along with me, my family, and my ward I invite you to somehow express your gratuities daily. My family is making a gratuities poster and every day we're writing something we're grateful for in it.
